Back in 2008 PUMA released a series of Godzilla-themed sneakers. These were made in very (and I stress very) limited quantities and sold for quite a penny (in the range of a whopping $350!). Altogether, five designs were released, Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah, Mecha-Godzilla, and King Kong.

The film may be close to a century old, but Lon Chaney's Phantom of the Opera is still alive and kicking - and soon to be released onto a 2-Disc DVD in 3D and as a "talkie"! This version, appropriately titled The Angel of Music Edition is coming out on October 11th 2011 (it was originally slated for an Sept. 6th release, but has since been pushed back). The first trailer of this new release has just been posted, so take a look!

Today marks the release of IDW's new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic series and what better way to kick off the latest version of everyone's favorite heroes in a half-shell than with eleven, count them, ELEVEN different covers to collect. That's one hefty helping of Turtle Power! Though, for those die-hard Turtle lovers it means shelling out a ton of green to complete their comic cover collection.

Tomorrow marks the return of Conan The Barbarian to the big screen, replacing Arnold Schwarzenegger with Jason Momoa as the adventurous Cimmerian. However, prior to both the original '82 film and the current 2011 incarnation, Conan had made his mark in Marvel Comics' long running series, The Savage Sword of Conan, that spanned 235 issues from 1974 to 1995. We've recently received a press release for an upcoming creature-feature flick titled, Lizard Boy. It follows the science-run-amok formula and certainly seems to be aiming for a vibe of "older-style" monster movies and, in our book, there's nothing wrong with that!
